今天收到COUNCIAL TAX的信叫我要交暑假7-9月的钱,我是读完大学,然后9月份MASTER开学,可问题是以前都不用交的,而且我暑假也是以学生的身份留在英国,为什么要交呢?
有没有什么办法可以不用交的呢?

i think you could get a proof of letter from the university - stating you are a full-time student.
我之前已经在我读MASTER的学校拿了一张COUNCIL TAX EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE了哦,那本小册子上面写着其他的时间我都不用给,要给的那些钱是暑假7-9月份的咯.这是过分啦..
If you are a full-time student and your course hasn't finished, you are not entitled to pay it. Just ignore the stupid regulation.
可是我之前有个朋友也是这样,然后LOCAL COUNCIL那边就说暑假期间,她不是个FULL TIME STUDENT,所以还是要给COUNCIL TAX,给了她25%的折扣.后来她没交,就有讨债公司上门去找她要钱了......
昨天我们家这里也有讨债公司来,不过是因为之前那个TENANT没有交...超恐怖的.我觉得还是确定一下有没有什么办法可以不用交的.要不对付那些讨债公司会很麻烦咯.

不是吧，我拿了很早以前的学校证明直接去，人家也没说不可以，
你的学校恐怕不能给你这段空档的证明信，还是找他们解释一下的好，或者说你暑假回国了不知道。

可要是撒回国了,我没有出境的记录,怕是圆不了谎的!
可是我7月份大学毕业后,就已经拿到了OFFER,所以也还是学生.为什么还是要给呢?不管了,先去学校的INTERNATIONAL OFFICE问问看再说.好过没有尝试嘛~~~~

MM没有仔细看上面的回复哦...我已经跟新学校拿了COUNCIL TAX EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE了哦.可是LOCAL COUNCIL还是叫我要交暑假的钱....

your undergraduate course was finished in June. Before your master course, it has 3 months break. Am I right?
If so, you might be entitled to pay for it since your UG course has completed although you are still holding a student visa.
What I suggest you to do is, if you are still studying in London for your master, asking for letter from your master couse department which states you are studying some kinds of course in their department or university during the break. it might work.

huh?But the truth is I didnt have any course during the holiday.You do think the new university is that generous to do me that favour??
