British Consulate-General Shanghai: EVisa Section Office Manager (LE IIE)
The British Consulate-General Shanghai would like to invite job applications from British nationals for the position of LE II (E) Visa Section Office Manager.
Main Duties
To assist the Entry Clearance Manager to run the daily visa production line and to manage Visa Section operations efficiently and effectively;
To supervise the 35 staff of the Visa Section and to line manage visa writers ;
To be responsible for IT systems administration for the Visa Section ;
To ensure Standard Operating and Security Procedures are implemented in the Visa Section;
To be responsible for compiling the Section's statistical returns.
Personal qualities
Candidates should ideally be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in office administration and management;
Previous experience in human resources management and good inter-personal skills;
Pragmatism, initiative and self-confidence, and the ability to work with a minimum of supervision within a team;
Ability to work under pressure, combined with strong decision making skills;
Ability to communicate effectively with other Sections and external parties
Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook and Excel).
IT Systems and security training will be provided. Evidence of qualifications, residence status and references will be required. Applicants should have entered China on their British passport. Starting salary will be US$2,285 per month (50% in local currency, 50% in hard currency). The successful applicant will also need to undergo security clearance procedures.
