Iceland is party to the Schengen Agreement together with Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Germany. The agreement, in principal, allows for travel between these countries on a uniform visa.
Application to: Royal Danish Embassy; Applications cannot be made by post. Appointments must be made in advance by calling (09065) 540 7555 (automated; 24-hour). Travellers visiting just one Schengen country should apply to the Consulate of that country; travellers visiting more than one Schengen country should apply to the Consulate of the country chosen as the main destination or the country they will enter first (if they have no main destination).
Application requirements: (a) Completed visa application form. (b) One colour passport-size photo on a light background. © Valid passport or travel document, if applicable, with a blank page to affix the visa. (d) Fee, payable by cash or cheque (non-refundable). (e) Proof of purpose of visit such as a letter of invitation and evidence of accommodation. (f) Evidence of sufficient funds to cover the duration of stay.
