sure, you can find friendship here. Sheffield is a nice univ. The city is ok. Small but ok. I don't know what it is like in NZ. But I guess you will take a while to get use to the UK. Don't worry you can alway come here when u r having problem.

I went to sheffield on 04/12/06 to visit the university and the city. The city is fine, nice but a little colder than London, quite long high street for shopping, nice ladies with accent that you can understand. However, as all cities in the UK, it has some danger zones, can't remember where they are, you may find more in the websites of both universities, sheffield U and SHU. Hope this helps!

I'm also collecting the info. of Sheffield these days....
Cos they r quite good in Biomedical Science...

The city was built on hills so your legs may ache for the first week.
