偶理解为七月一日前预定，但对方邮件中解释是七月一日前入住的价格，偶觉得偶是对的，怎么说服呢？希望她知道这样会被误解。

seems a bit vague to me, but the word “starting” does seem to imply that it refers to the date of the event, not of the booking. We can talk about an event “starting” but not really of a booking “starting”. But it is not obvious – it’s usually best to ask when booking about things like this.

Gang, I think it is clear that the date refers to the event and not to the actual payment. It is one of those things that you need to read a few times for it to make sense.

payment指的就是booking. 我的听力好像是不错，不过上面是从邮件copy & paste来的
